You guys know I love my little brother. Kazzwuan was nominated to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum: Engineering and Technology at UC Berkeley. For 8 days, he will be on an even closer path towards college and discovery of engineering and technology professions through the forum's interactive curriculum, simulation exercises, and skills development workshops. Ranging from game and web design to biomedical engineering, this leadership/career exploration program will be life changing.
Kazzwuan is the son of a hard working single parent and a supportive older sister, however they are unable to fully fund this program. "I do not want my brother to be another statistic, I want him to have a shot at reaching his full potential," says his sister Chazzney. Even though Kazzwuan has had many hardships from developing alopecia to his father abandoning his family to trying to survive high school, he continues to be humble, kind and funloving. He is a great and well loved young man who does not get opportunities like this ever. In fact, he is one of two at his school who was nominated for this honorable once-in-a-lifetime nomination. Can you help him?
We need to raise a total of $3,500. Payments of $875 due on: 03/01/2016, 04/01/2016, 05/01/2016 and 06/01/2016.
Payment includes:
-Classes, briefings, lectures, and simulations for the duration of the program-All course materials, including books, hands-on activity items, etc.
-Housing accommodations
-All on-campus meals
-Transportation as needed for offsite activities
-Admission to site visits and events
-Program faculty, coordinators, and supervisory staff
-A personalized Certificate of Completion
-For an additional $200 he could earn 2 college credits.
