UofSC Mock Trial Program--Nationals Push!

Hey y’all!
The University of South Carolina Mock Trial Team is going to NATIONALS for the first time ever! The 2019 American Mock Trial Association National Championship Series will be held in Philadelphia April 5-7. Out of more than 700 mock trial teams across the country, only 48 have the privilege of qualifying for Nationals. While we are ecstatic our hard work has paid off, we face a substantial lack of funding. We are in desperate need of donations to cover our hotel and flight expenses.
We are coming off a fantastic Spring semester, which included significant achievements, including:
-advancing two teams to the Open Round Championship Series: a Program-first
-a 2nd Place finish at the University of West Florida's Argo Invitational by our A-team
-a 5th Place finish at Florida State University's Seminole Smackdown Invitational by our A-team, and an Honorable Mention by our B-team
- 6 individual awards for both Attorney and Witness work
Unfortunately, despite our program’s successes, we don’t receive as much funding from the University as we need to continue competing at our current level. Funding is essential for travelling and registering for tournaments. We need outside donations if we are to continue to prosper.
We need your generosity to be able to continue to offer the crucial experience of competition to our members. If you donate to this GoFundMe, your resources will go directly to Nationals-related expenses such as travel, team supplies, and other program resources that directly help our competitors to advance their legal skills and enjoy their participation in the program!
