Hi guys,

we are looking to raise much needed funds to help Ceres survive the worst cash flow moment we’ve had since we opened.

we are just three months off the 2 year mark at Ceres, but we are massively on the back foot at this moment.

we’ve had some bad luck with some large extra unforeseen costs lately which was enough to knock us off balance. we are desperately scrabbling to get back on top- this has been the most stressful and tricky moment for me personally-in my life.

I have to ask for your help. I’m asking because I must do this for my family, my baby mumma Laya and the bump, the lovely guys who work at Ceres and want it to continue, and the amazing suppliers who have stuck by me during this tricky moment.

We will use these much needed funds to get us away from the danger zone and back on the right path.

what I am proposing in exchange for your kind donation is your moneys worth at Ceres.

think of it just as paying for your dinner in advance.. I guess..

here are the deals:

Offer 1. 
3 course Dinner for 1(or equivalent small plates) £30 byo

offer 2.
3 course dinner for 2(or equivalent small plates) £55 byo

offer 3.
Test your self as a chef- come and do a weekend day service from 10-2 at Ceres plating up all your favourite dishes to the highest standard as one of our chefs for the day. (Lunch included) £30

Offer 4.
dinner at my place in Bath for up to 4 guests inc wine, tales from the kitchen and a lift home.

offer 5.
your own personal chef (me) for the evening in your own home for upto 8 guests(all food inc in the price) £350

offer 6.
4 nights stay in a rural south of France for an exclusive Ceres cooking workshop.
guests will be picked up from Marseille airport and driven to the secret destination approximately 1.5 hours by road. 
Champagne on arrival, the lucky few guests will be treated to dinner and a warm welcome. A range of interesting and exciting Cooking classes will commence the following day. Guests will be treated to a no expense spared dream foodie holiday with daily excursions to meet special local artisans to collect key ingredients that will be the focus for the following days prep.

Available dates for dinners will be first come first served. But at this stage we can be very flexible.

• Roast and pickled beets, labneh, toasted-spiced seeds
• Home tea smoked salmon, pickled cucumber, sour cream & chives

** veggie/vegan main celeriac steak, giant Israeli could cous, kasundi, fennel

• Pan seared gressingham duck breast, braised puy lentils, pickled pears
• Roast loin of free range pork, burnt butter mash, cavalo nero, cider & apple sauce.
• Pan fried market fish fillet, creamed leeks, garlic mussels & new potato’s.

Hey folks,


we’ve had a difficult Christmas period , it’s been a crazy ride having our baby amaya come into the world and having the majority of our team leave us at the same time!

Dan and I have been juggling new parenthood and the cafe chaos as much as possible - our baby girl even comes and runs front of house with me in the evening! but unfortunately we can’t sustain this going forward.

Our amazing dinner chef and close friend kris brown is also moving on to new adventures, after being our longest standing member of staff and serving up some incredible food he is thinking of taking the leap and going to Australia to get a taste of the real Melbourne vibes!

Although we are extremely happy for kris it’s also very sad for us! We will miss him and beyond that we are no longer able to run our dinner service as we cannot staff it and it never really took off enough to be a viable option long term.

So we have to call it a day with dinner, but! We need to make sure that you get to redeem your Ceres dinner in return for your support during our crisis last summer! We can’t run dinner every night like we used to, but we can come together for an exclusive one night only Ceres spectacular!and make sure we give you guys an awesome meal supper club style! This will be a special event and in fact will probably be much more enjoyable than coming in on a quiet Tuesday eve- I’ll attach a menu to pre order from but we’ll be sure to squeeze in some surprise courses and make sure that this last soirées is one to remember!

Please note we can cater for all dietary requirements just let us know your needs when you send back your order to coffee.ceres.live@gmail.com , we can alter dishes to suit and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

The date for your diary is Monday February 4th- will be awesome to see you all there.

I understand that the odd person may not be able to make this event so please if you cannot attend drop me an email on coffee.ceres.live@gmail.com and I will convert your dinner voucher into a brunch E voucher to be redeemed at your convenience for the amount donated to the go fund me page. (This can be spread over a couple of visits )
