Help Douglas Fight Squamous Cell Carcinoma
It is with a heavy heart that we write this request. Our friend Douglas Kays has recently
learned that he is very ill. Since he is the kind of person that would do anything to help others,
we want to help his family during this very difficult time. Doug is an amazing husband and
father to two young children and currently resides in Virginia Beach.
At the young age of 35, Douglas has been diagnosed with late stage Squamous Cell
Carcinoma. Unfortunately, the cancer has metastasized rapidly throughout his body. His spine,
chest cavity, lungs, abdominal wall and one kidney have all become compromised. Doctors say
his prognosis is poor (days to weeks), which as you can imagine was extremely devastating
news for this young family to receive. The only treatment option being offered is pain
management to keep him comfortable until hospice takes over.
At this time we are asking for donations to pay for his care and final expenses to properly
honor our friend and help his family at this unexpected and devastating time. Any help is greatly
