2018 ACS CCP Exam Scholarships

$4,595 of $10,000 goal

Raised by 32 people in 2 months
The Facebook “Cheese Study Group” is again raising funds to assist our fellow cheese professionals in two categories:

1: ACS CCP exam candidate(s) - expenses to take the exam and attend the 2018 ACS Pittsburgh conference. (Up to $1900 US for each scholarship)
2. ACS CCP(s) , in good standing - expenses to attend the 2018 ACS Pittsburgh conference. (Up to $1400 US for each scholarship)

This fundraiser is for those who do NOT have employer/trade association financial support. As most of us in the cheese community know, the expense of attending an ACS Conference and taking the ACS CCP exam can be out of the reach of many deserving cheesemongers, cheese makers, and other cheese professionals. As a community we can all donate and help a few of those worthy and desiring to expand their knowledge and standing in the cheese community.

Funds will only be used to defray expenses to take the exam and/or attend the 2018 ACS Conference.
All money (except fees charged by this funding site and financial entities in processing donations) will go directly to winners of the scholarship. In the event we exceed our goal, more scholarships will be awarded.

Scholarship entries must be submitted no later than 4/15/2018 and scholarships will be announced 4/30/2018. All donations should be made by 4/30/2018

Donations are not tax-deductible but will be greatly appreciated and all persons and/or companies donating $100.00 US or more will be recognized along with the winners (unless donators chose to remain anonymous).

Official rules for applications can be viewed at MarcellatheCheesemonger.com or the Cheese Study Group.

This fundraiser is in no way associated or endorsed by the American Cheese Society nor Facebook.

A special thanks to those who have contributed so far: Erin Harris CCP, Birchrun Hills Farm, Jasper Hill Farm, Jill Ellingson, Judy Schad, Kelley Jewell CCP (and 2017 Scholarship Winner), Babs Hogan, Sheri Allen CCP, Cabot Creamery, Marge Porter CCP and Allin Tallmadge CCP.. XOXO Marcella Wright CCP and Founder of the Cheese Study Group.

Many Thanks to Cabot Creamery for starting this campaign with a bang! The CSG recognized that there were many folks who wished to attend the ACS conference and sit for the CCP Exam but could not afford to do so without sponsorship. Recognizing the value of attendance, the CSG has created a crowd-funding campaign to create scholarships for CCP candidates AND standing CCPs to attend the FULL conference. Donate today-no amount too small or too large-and all are appreciated! #sendakidtocheesecamp
