#CaydenHothsFight Medical Expenses

Cayden Hoth was injured in a car accident on January 8, 2016. He has a C5 and C6 spinal cord injury. As a result of these injuries, he cannot move his legs, has limited mobility in his arms, and little ability to use his hands and fingers.

Cayden is determined to fight back from these injuries. He will be doing his first, major rehabilitation for 75 days at Craig Hospital in the Denver, CO area. Acceptance into Craig and the insurance coverage are huge answers to prayer!

Insurance will pay for the first 60 days of treatment. The family will be paying for the additional 15 days for a total of 75 days of rehab. The cost for those 15 days is $40,500*.  The Hoth family must pay 50% of that up front before they will be allowed to begin treatment. Intensive therapy is critical to Cayden's future mobility and independence.

Cayden, his parents, Chad and Tracy, his older brother, Shale and his two younger sisters, Bridget and Courtney have been close friends of my family since Cayden was in Kindergarten. I know they are a blessing to many others in countless ways. It's still hard to believe this has happened.

Cayden is an extremely social 15 year old, a hard worker and a goal setter. He hasn't lost his sense of humor and is anxious to get to work in rehab. Chad and Tracy are amazing. They continue to rely on God's strength to speak hope into Cayden and look for ways to be thankful and cheerful even in the midst of devastating circumstances. The three siblings are by Cayden's side whenever possible and such a great help at home and at the hospital.

Your prayers and financial support for this family would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Chelle

*1/23/16 The response to Cayden and the entire Hoth family through this Go Fund account has been amazing and extremely humbling for them.  The initial goal of $40,500 was met in less than 3 days and the fund continues to grow! The Hoths are blown away by the generosity of people who know and love them and complete strangers who have donated.

Cayden and his family are headed down a long road of recovery. Many expenses will be ahead as they prepare to support him in the future such as major rennovations to their home to make it suitable for Cayden's needs; a wheelchair accessible car; outpatient therapy; medical equipment; prescriptions...the list will go on.

The Go Fund goal has been increased to $70,000 in order to help meet some of those upcoming needs.

We continue to pray for healing for Cayden and we are trusting that God will provide the strength and resources needed for Cayden's fight. Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support.
