CattleCrews Affected by Fires

$33,570 of $25,000 goal

Raised by 71 people in 15 months
Created October 11, 2017
Hi All, My name is Miranda Smith, and I work for the Cattlemens Steakhouse Corporate Office based in Santa Rosa, CA. I have the honor of leading some of our employee efforts and fundraising for relief to the Cattlemens staff in Sonoma County. First and foremost thank you all for your concern and support thus far.

In the early morning of October 9th Sonoma County was hit with devastating wildfires.

100% of the Main Office, Santa Rosa, and Petaluma Cattlemens employees and their families have been affected by this disaster in some way. Many are displaced and some have lost their homes among other challenges.

The Cattle-families and crews at the other 6 locations and their communities have been asking how they can help NOW.

This is a fund with 100% of money raised going to Cattlemens staff in Santa Rosa and Petaluma. The money raised will be managed and distributed by the Sonoma County teams directly and immediately given to those in need. The funds will be directly distributed with the staff in need to gain temporary or permanent housing, purchase food, clothes, amenities and replace lost items. It will also be used for medical needs or those with pet needs.

This is a heart to heart effort for Cattlemens Teams and local communities to help each other during this difficult time. A donation account will be set up at the Redwood Credit Union with Sonoma County management having direct access to the fund for distribution. We will follow up with account information shortly.

Cattlemens will be working on separate efforts to support the relief including supporting this fund.

Together, we are Remarkable.

#CattleStrong

Hi All! As the Holidays draw closer, we would like to take a moment to THANK every one that had a part in this fundraiser. After distributing the funds to the Cattlemens Staff that lost their homes , they were truly speechless with gratitude.

A recipient recently reached out and wanted to personally thank you all for your donations and support. He said, "People are so kind and generous with us in our situation, it's really incredible."

The kindness and love that has been shown for the Cattle Crew and all in Sonoma County affected by the Wild Fire is nothing short of inspirational. Thank you to all those who have donated and continue to show support. The funds are being distributed to the Cattle Crew most in need starting this week. A special Thank you to Cattle Crew members out of Sacramento, Abby, Morgan, Kelly and the team for heading up a large Donation Drive at all 8 of our Cattlemens locations. Our guests and all communities have been amazing in their concern and support as well. We have received calls and emails asking what is needed during this sad time. Most of all, Thank you to the Cattle Crew for Staying #SonomaStrong. Our guests and staff are truly the Best in the West, and we couldn't be more grateful!

Greetings supporters of Cattle Crew Fire Relief. Thank you again to each and everyone of you for the generous support for our Cattlemens Families in need. Due to the influx of Gofundme accounts set up for these Wildfires, Gofundme is asking for clarification in how we are setting up the bank account for distribution of these funds raised. We have set up an account at the Redwood Credit Union in Santa Rosa to deposit these funds in and make them accessible for distribution. This is a checking account associated with a Cattlemens employee, however the only purpose of the account is to run the collected funds through to the people in need. There is a spreadsheet with the staff the funds will be distributed to. It will start with the staff and families that have had personal loss, home loss, or vehicle loss. Next any staff that have been displaced or lost any belongings will receive funds. This will also go to help with any bills that may have lapsed during this time. Lastly, any staff housing people or pets that have been displaced will receive funds for support in the increase of care. Our goal is to #1 replace what has been lost and help staff find new housing and #2 ease some emotional burdens during this difficult time. 100% of the funds raised will be recorded at time of distribution. Although we cannot release names, anyone whom has questions on the distribution of funds is welcome to reach out for a list of amount released per donation given out and any associated details. I can be reached any time at miranda.smith@cattlemens.com. Thank you again!
