Cast a Helping Hand to Guido Hibdon
$41,235 of $100,000 goal
Guido fell ill the night of his last chemo treatment and has been under constant care since. He has lost 140lb and is quiet weak, but his attitude is great and his will is strong. He recently gained 5 lbs. and is determined to win this battle. However, he will need to remain under medical care for possibly several more months. This will allow him to receive the best possible treatment for a full recovery. As he works to heal, his wife Stella and family can use our help with this Go Fund Me Campaign. This assistance will relieve the financial stress that can burden any family in this situation and allow them to use their focus to help Guido in his day to day journey of healing and recovery. Funds will be used to cover current mortgage cost, and other day to day finances that can quickly build up during trying times such as these.
We hope to reach our goal of $100,000 by July 4th. What a great way to celebrate Independence Day for the Hibdon family when we reach or exceed our goal.
Guido began his professional career in 1980 and has continued to be a leader and winner in the sport of professional bass fishing for 35+ years. During that 35 years he has spent countless hours helping others through many avenues. Now it's our turn to repay the favor. Let's help them reach or exceed this goal quickly.
The Hibdon family would like to say thank you in advance and let you know there are no words that can clearly express the gratitude and heartfelt thanks for your support.
As many of you may already know our great friend Guido passed away this past Sunday after a long battle with his recovery from cancer. He was such a special man to all who knew him and he will be missed by all.
The family asked that we update you and say thank you to all of those of you who shared so generously during this trying time. God Bless you all! Your generosity made a difference and it was so appreciated.
Guido's loving wife Stella has asked that in lieu of flowers she would like to hear from you via a 1 - 3 paragraph note sharing your fond memories of this wonderful man and a legend in the sport of fishing. Notes can be sent to Stella Hibdon PO Box 56 Stover, MO 65078. Her goal is to build a memory book for his kids, grandkids, great grandkids, ect so they too can forever share in those memories.
Services will be held Wednesday March 14th @ Kidwell Garber Funeral Home @ 3 pm.
Thanks to all,
First of all thanks to everyone that has recently donated to this campaign. Words can not express our gratitude and love for all the support.
A quick update on Guido. He is doing much better and recently had a PET scan and it shows he is now cancer free. Guido has shown some great improvements over the last week. He can now walk (although very slowly) the length of his rehab rail during physical therapy. He is trying to eat more so his feeding tube can be removed.
The journey of healing is far from over but this is great progress. I feel confident he is working hard to get stronger each day so he can go home.
God Bless all of you.
