Jean-Pierre was born in Gbadolite (DR Congo) where he was a Teacher. He fled to Canada more than a decade ago from Congo after losing his parents and relatives during the war.
Today, Congo is struggling to get out of what Joseph Conrad called “heart of darkness”. Proxy wars have created a "generation of lost kids" who have never had a chance to go to school.
Jean-Pierre thinks, it’s time to help rebuild lives by focusing on kids’ education. He still remembers one of his students asking “why is it that nobody comes to help us in Congo?”
Now, he thinks, it is time to give an answer to this student. It's time to show Congo kids that here, in Canada, we can care about them. Please support Jean-Pierre to build a school and to give the gift of quality education to 300 children. Please support "Cash for Congo School" campaign and fight poverty.
