Please consider donating to help Carrie and Cameron as he prepares for a life-saving kidney transplant.
The money will be financial support for the months following the kidney transplant. Three months of bills are required to be saved before Cameron is even considered to be on the waiting list. If Carrie can show she has the money saved up the hospital will be more likely to allow Cameron on the waiting list.
Since Carrie is the sole caretaker and provider, this seems nearly impossible. For 26 years she has had little to no support from anyone close to her. Carrie will be taking constant care of her son after the major surgery which prohibits her from working. This financial requirement is the main obstacle in the way of getting Cameron a transplant. She will not be able to work every day for three months while she cares for her son. Not only does the fundraiser help meet the financial requirements, but it will also provide peace of mind for Carrie and Cameron during his recovery.
With your donation, she will be able to continue focusing on the other tasks to get the kidney for Cameron. He needs two more surgeries and secure transportation to and from his post-op appointments. Currently, they have a 20-year-old car that is just about to hit 200,000 miles. They have already been making multiple trips a week to the University of Utah for doctor appointments. Cameron is scheduled for two more surgeries that are coming up within the next month or so.
Right now she is working 10+ hour shifts at the local dry cleaners when she can. She is desperately trying to save money and also have some on hand for the next few months for travel to the U of U for Cameron's appointments. Any amount of money is much appreciated. Anything helps!
