Fundraiser for Carly Ortiz & Family

The Ortiz family moved to the Houghton area from New Orleans just three weeks ago, searching for a better future for their family. They came with their small mobile home which carried all of their belonging and dreams. Today, before the sunrise, the strong winds and tornadoes which hit this region knocked over a tree, which fell over their mobile home, splitting it in half, and taking the life of 20 month old Carly Ortiz. The Ortiz family is now devastated and is in need of help from the community to give their daughter a proper burial.  We are asking you to dig into your heart, for prayers for this young family, and if it is possible for you to make a small donation, and share this with your friends and family. The goal is to cover young belated Carly's funeral costs and to help the Ortiz family set a down payment on a new mobile home.
