Help Support Trisha
Donation protected
My wife, Trisha Platt, was diagnosed with the debilitating Alzheimer’s disease earlier this year. It was caused by a tragic combination of a traumatic brain injury she suffered from an ex-husband in the early '90s and a fall on our kitchen floor in December 2013. In early May, she was placed under hospice care and has been living at an assisted living group home for the past two months.
Alzheimer’s is an unforgiving disease with no cure and very little treatment. Trisha has insurance through the Affordable Care Act, but it carries a very high deductible. Just this year, she has had two ambulance trips to the ER as well as several urgent care and doctor’s visits. The medical bills are mounting, and include the ambulance cost, various doctors and medications as well as eight days admission at the Banner Del Web SAGE unit for treatment.

Due to her illness, Trisha, 60, has not been able to run her home-based business, Aloha Errands and Personal Assistant, and has not generated any income for the past four years. My current income consists of Social Security, a small monthly annuity and a smaller monthly pension. Since her fall in 2013, I have turned down employment opportunities to spend my time caring for her.
To help us cover some of Trisha’s medical costs, we are setting up a GoFundMe account with a goal to raise $10,000.
Many of you have asked about Trisha and offered your prayers and support. For that, we are truly thankful. We now hope that your generosity will help us get though some of the financial challenges of her care. We would be grateful if you could support the account by making a donation of any amount.
Thank you for your love and support and please keep Trisha and our families in your thoughts and prayers.
