A Gesture of Love for Carey Jo

Donation protected
As the sun has continued to rise and set, the tears of sadness are slowly turning to tears of joyous memories. For those of you who knew Carey Jo, you understand how she brought sunshine to any cloudy room, how she dearly loved Lucy, was incredibly proud to be her mother, and was infatuated with her soulmate, Adam.

Carey Jo was the picture perfect mother and wife. She turned a house into a home, packed Lucy's lunch with a loving little note for school every day, picked her up and dropped her off with a kiss and an "I Love You".  She was actively involved in Lucy's Girl Scout Troop, mentoring her to be a confident, kind, giving, playful, creative, strong little girl. She helped her with her homework every night, engaged her imagination and creativity with school projects, turned any chance for celebration into a beautiful, thoughtful, unique event. Lucy's birthdays were never a dissapointment, through themed parties, special birthday cakes, fun games and funky goody-bags, family and friends were always in awe of the thoughtfulness Carey Jo had for her daughter.

Her relationship with Adam began when they were in teenagers, a rare love story, truly highschool sweethearts. As they grew older, ventured into adulthood, experienced the joys and challenges of navigating life, one thing did not change: their unweilding love and support for each other. They enjoyed traveling together, spending time with family, creating unique garden arrangements, making a home together and watching Lucy grow into a spunky full-of-life girl. There was one thing Carey Jo was most proud of, hearing Lucy call Adam "Dad".

Carey Jo was loved by all who met her. She valued family, keeping her parents, grandparents, brother and sister close. She made sure all who were around her felt included and special. We were drawn to her magnetic personality, her wide smile and infectious laugh. She met countless people, but never a stranger. One thing is certainly true, plain and simple, she is and will always be, missed.

The overwhelming amount of love and support has been healing for the family. How this community has come together to show their respect for Carey Jo by donating to this page has helped in more ways than one. All expenses were covered and the remaining balance is dedicated to Lucy's future with education and care. So thank you, community, for your love and support.
