Cancer Treatment For Veteran's Dog

My friend deployed recently and he asked if I could take care of his dog while he was away, naturally I agreed to.  Zoe is a sweet, loving, light hearted and playful at times bust mostly loves to just sit and relax.

She started having trouble breathing so I took her to the vet to have her checked out, thinking it was a simple repiratory infection that could be easily treated with some antibiotics.  But bloodwork showed possible soft tissue sarcoma, which was then confirmed with  radiographs..

She will be having surgery soon and subsequent treatments to make sure it is all taken care of, the last thing I want my friend to come home to is the loss of his best friend.  Hopefully she will be fine in the coming months and the cancer will be kept under control.

Costs:
The total cost of the first few appointments totalled about $450
The bloodwork was about $200
Radiographs, about $300
The surgery, including observation after the fact, pain killers and anesthesia will be around $3500

She will undergo further treatments after the initial surgery but for now I am just focusing on the surgery, making sure she comes out okay and then working step by step from there to a, hopefully, full recovery.

All money raised will go directly to her treatment and care, the cost of surgery and follow-up radiation treatments, anything extra will be donated to cancer research

Any help is appreciated and I will be eternally greatful to all of you who help save her life.

Please share and spread the word to save a veteran's dog.
