Anyone who knows my brother-in-law Ryan Cooke knows how hard-working, kind, creative, loving, and devoted he is. He works very long hours to provide for his family and spends every minute of his time not working with his family, being the Dad who builds toys, invents games, and creates experiences and memories that Kane (9) and Elizabeth (6) will carry for a lifetime.
Ryan-- like many of us-- is the first person to offer help but not likely to ever ask for anything. That's why I'm stepping up to do it for him. After a month of daily headaches that got worse and worse, it was discovered that there is a tumor on his brain causing swelling and displacement. There are a lot of unanswered questions at this point about what this situation will mean for the future of Ryan and my sister, niece, and nephew. All we can do is pray for the best and support them with our love and concern while we wait for surgery, more info, and more treatment.
You don't need me to tell you about the hardships these type of unexpected medical emergencies can put on a family. I'm asking you to join me in a campaign to help them through this frightening time of brain surgery and treatment. For one family this is a huge load.. but if everyone who knows and loves Ryan, Heather, Kane, and Elizabeth comes together we can ease that load while they focus on what is most important right now: recovery.
$5, $10, $20, $100... every amount makes a difference and every amount is a gift of love that is humbly and gratefully accepted.
