Cam's Coffee Creations

Cam, as we affectionately call him is a very compassionate kid, who suffers from both cognitive and physical delays due to a traumatic brain injury. Simple tasks to you and me, such as tying shoes or holding a pencil are difficult for him.

Although life for him is challenging, I have resigned that he will not be a victim of his circumstances, but rather he will be victorious in spite of all that he has to overcome.

We started a coffee business as a hobby to help him elevate his strengths and to be empowered with the knowledge that he is a person of value and that he adds value to everyone with whom he interacts daily. It has been so fulfilling for him to run his coffee business, which we started with a “lemonade stand mentality.” We would occasionally set up a coffee stand, offer people a great cup of coffee made by a super dude while teaching Cam lessons of entrepreneurship. To my surprise, Cam enjoyed it so much that occasionally turned into serving coffee every weekend and Camden’s Coffee Creation was born.

Cam’s compassion and thoughtfulness of other is a hallmark of his personality. One day while serving coffee to customers, Cam looked up at me and said, “Mommy, I want to help people like me.”

How could I say no to such a selfless request? Our goal is to help make his vision of a sustainable business that employs others with special needs a reality. Therefore, we seek your partnership in this journey of self-determination. Cam saved enough money to purchase a trailer frame to begin the building process. We need help raising the twenty thousand dollars need for the remaining construction and equipment.  Every dollar helps, thanks in advanced!
