CampFire Soccer Community Relief Fund

$3,775 of $50,000 goal

Raised by 19 people in 1 month
Created December 3, 2018
As many of you have probably heard, the recent CampFire completely devastated the town of Paradise and the surrounding areas. The damage and the stats are truly overwhelming but within any disaster comes the strength and determination of the local community to rise up and start to rebuild their lives.

We are hoping that the soccer community can come together for the benefit of the beautiful game. Our goal is to assist the local soccer community affected by the CampFire to start to rebuild. Within the town of Paradise and surrounding areas, there was at least 70 soccer families that lost everything they own. Along with houses, other loss includes fields, facilities, equipment, etc.

All the money raised on this campaign will go directly to the families, players, coaches, schools, and leagues, affected. We also want to provide mental health assistance to those in need. Thank you for any donation.

We can guarantee that 100% of the money raised will go straight to the local soccer community affected by the CampFire. We look forward to the day where these kids can start playing soccer again.

We are excited to share some exciting news regarding our Chris Wondolowski Soccer camp this week. Through some extremely generous donations we will have soccer gear available for those players that have been directly affected by the CampFire. Tim Fritzpatrick and www.madetoorder.com have donated and printed 200 shirts for the camp. Mike Thomas and the team at soccer.com through their Passback program have graciously donated 200+ sets of gear including cleats, shin guards, socks, shorts and soccer balls. Mike Drakulic with Ray Morgan Company has donated all of the printed materials for the Mental Toughness Workshops presented by Advance Sports Technology (astacademy.com).

Still so much we would like to accomplish for this soccer community. Please share this with others who may be interested in donating. Thank you to all those you have donated. We will have more update as they become available.

Chris Wondolowski is a former Chico State Soccer player and one of the most recognizable professional soccer players within Major League Soccer so he was quickly willing to help our community in anyway possible. His true professionalism on and off the field made it no surprise he would be willing to donate his time to help those in need.

Chad Busick, from Advance Sports Technology has also agreed to come up to Chico, in collaboration with Chris, to assist in mental sports training. Advance Sports Technology has an impressive resume assisting many professional teams, Universities, and major club organizations. They work with athletes and coaches to embrace the mental aspects of competition in order to thrive and maximize players and coaches full potential.

Dominik Jakubek is a ex-professional goalkeeper most recently with the Sacramento Republic where we was a key member from 2014-2017. Dominic was also a leader with Chico State as they made their National Championship run in 2003. Dominik has recently formed his Dominator Goalie Academy where he works with aspiring youth to reach their full potential as a goalkeeper. We are excited that Dominik has agreed to volunteer his time to help the victims of the Camp Fire.
