CAMP Fire 2018 - Please help the Garrison family

Donation protected
The hardest thing I have ever done is to ask for help. I have worked hard for everything I had. I have nothing financed because I never believed in living beyond my means. I know that the loss of my family’s entire livelihood, our home, our community which included our family, friends, teachers, and coaches who offered us security, safety, and joy who are all displaced from this devastating Paradise, California  “CAMP” fire which has leveled nearly our entire town, we will over come this. My growing fear which has driven me to reluctantly create this fund raiser is because my livelihood as a self employed fabricator, my only resource to support my family’s needs has an unforeseeable future while we work our way through this recovery effort.

Our 11 year old family dog Lena was put down after she was rescued but had suffered from some sort of neurological disorder caused by the fire which put her into some kind of seizures. We made every effort to save her but her injuries were to severe. Our 8 year old Cat Marley was also rescued and currently being treated at UC Davis for 3rd degree burns on his feet and face... Marley seems to be doing better :)

The health department has told the community that even the land that remains must be cleared of hazardous materials making it inhabitable. Most of the town has already made references that they will be leaving to rebuild their lives elsewhere as I believe our options will force my family to do the same. I don’t know what we are going to do or how we are going to get through all this but as my wife and boys (Breck 7 and Dorian 13) look to me as their strength, security and provider I will need all the help I can get...  Any support offered is greatly appreciated. Knowing my family is secure and safe will allow me to maintain focus on getting our lives back in order...

How will your donation help...
- We purchased a trailer which is being setup at a friend’s house just outside of Chico Ca. We paid $19,500 for it using our savings money and funds my Mom (Who also lost everything) gave us to help cover the difference. Using nearly all of our savings I am hoping to recover some of it to help us sustain over the next few months.
- Food expenses until I can rebuild my livelihood.. Our home averaged $600 a month and my wife prepares nearly all of our meals...
- Gas / Propane... The schools for our two boys are looking to setup in our neighboring town. They will need us to transport them daily which will increase our fuel expense. Propane will also need to be purchased in order to keep our camper heated through the coming winter months.. About $250 average per month
- Our Livelihood... I’m hoping to have some available funds which will help me to rebuild my fabrication shop allowing me to get back too supporting my family as I always have... Whatever anyone is willing to aid us with would be helpful...
- A fifth wheel hitch for my truck (In case we need to move our trailer) and a tune up for my old 1989 GMC dually which is a bit over due -$1500

If all these factors made over a 6 month term which seems like we will be at least a year before they will let us back to our town it would total:  $26,100.00

This feels like far to much to ask but if this goal could be reached it would certainly ease the stress of our family... Any funds reached  beyond this goal will be used to source a new shop location so I can attempt to get my Livelihood back in order...

Here is a video of a past cruiser I built for a customer... I just want to get back to my work and be the man my wife and boys have always been able to count on...
