Day Center Services

For more than 56 years, Camillus House has been helping our neediest neighbors transition to new lives and become self-sufficient members of our community. Camillus House works tirelessly to ensure that basic needs such as  food, shelter, clothing and showers are available to our neighbors in need. 

The Camillus Day Center has been a lifeline to people on the street for more than a decade by offering meals, engagement activities, clothing, showers and mail services.

Since its inception, the Day Center had been funded to serve 150 persons daily through the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development. That funding was lost last year and the program was in jeopardy of ending later this month. 

But thanks to a combination of public and private grants and donations, the program will continue operating for at least another year, with a goal of serving at least 100 men and women each day.  

While we truly appreciate the support we've received so far, we don't want to turn anyone away. That's why your financial support is so important.  When you consider that on average this program is providing over 13,000 service encounters each month, its impact is undeniable.

We ask that you please help us provide the material support for an additional 50 men and women each day.   For many homeless people still living on the street, we are their only source for showers, clean clothes, mail and other important services.
