Help Cambri fight childhood cancer

Donation protected
"Recently I felt a calling on my heart to really reach out to someone who had contacted me on Facebook.  A week or so later, I met two very inspirational ladies... Shannon and her amazing little girl, Cambri. Shannon is a single Mom, who is struggling to make ends meet as she cares for her 10 year old little girl, Cambri who is fighting Neuroblastoma Cancer. When my family and I met Cambri, our hearts melted. She is a sweet ray of sunshine, full of smiles. My husband and I prayed with her and her Mom. Cambri's smile could of lit up the room and I think Shannon's tears were filled with hope. They are truly two beautiful souls.
Cambri's cancer was originally diagnosed in 2012, but just recently more tumors were found and treatments have started again. Cambri and her Mom live here, in our little city of Three Rivers. My goal is not only to raise money to help with their financial needs, but to raise hope, to strengthen faith, and to pull a community together that will spread Cambri's story and shower them with love and support.
Its hard to raise a child in today's society as it is; let alone as a single mother, raising a child with cancer and unable to work. I would love to see Shannon not worry financially or at least have less worries for a while and simply focus on caring for Cambri. I hope after reading her story, you will choose to make a donation. As I said, I did just meet them recently so here is their story from Megan Aldworth, a close family friend:
For those of you who don’t know Cambri's story, here is a bit of background information. Cambri was five and half when she started having hip and leg pains. Her mother took her numerous times to both the doctor and the emergency care clinics and was continuously sent home with ‘growing pains’. After their many visits, they got a call from a walk in emergency clinic notifying them that they had found something abnormal in Cambri’s X-rays and that she had to be admitted into Bronson Hospital immediately. On January 20, 2012, Cambri was diagnosed Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer that typically arises in the adrenal glands. Cambri had a small tumor on her adrenal gland, and a long surgery took place to remove it. She then started chemo-therapy, which took a huge toll on both her physical and mental health. She was extremely thin and unable to eat, the doctors had to insert a feeding tube so she wouldn’t lose more weight. Cambri was in and out of the hospital for nearly 6 months and could not go to any public places, meaning she missed many days of school.
Since her diagnoses, she has been through many grueling treatments and procedures. She recently had to go through three days of intense MIBG radiation. During this procedure she was kept in isolation and only the doctors could enter the room for a short time while wearing protection.
Her mother has cared for her through the whole process, forcing her to quit her job. It has been a continuous struggle for Cambri, her mother, and her whole family. Throughout her journey, Cambri has kept a smile on her face and let her love for others flourish. We hope that everyone will keep her, and her family, in their prayers and remember that even in the toughest of times, love and laughter can heal."
