Last night Calvin's house burned to the ground, leaving him, his wife, children and grand children with out the familiar comforts of home and all the trauma of such a loss. One of the girls is still hospitalized for smoke inhalation. The house is a total loss. I estimate it will take at least $100,000 to rebuild.
Calvin has been an integral part of the Marion community for decades, particularly in the local music scene, and ham radio community. I have never know him to turn away someone in need. Over the years he has helped so many; whether he towed your car, fixed your AC, entertained you with music or maintains/helps maintain the repeater you talk on now its our turn to help him. Please help get Calvin's family back home.
