My brother In law Michael Wise,(middle of the picture) passed away suddenly Tuesday March 26, 2019. He was only 31 years old and my mother in law found him on the porch listening to music. He was an intense metal fan, went to 20-25 concerts a year and took the 70,000 tons of metal cruise for the last 6 years.
What everyone doesn’t know is he was taking care of his father who is bed bound and can’t walk. He was recently on home hospice but has now been taken off home hospice, really thanks to Mike’s help. He would lift him up to get into bed, a wheel chair, or the car. Take him to doctors appointments on his day off and even clean him after he had an accident. Mike did all of this without complaining once. He had a heart of gold and was the true definition of a “gentle giant”.
He would never ever hurt anyone despite being 6’4 and 280. He was an imposing long haired metal fan with a big beard and an even bigger heart.
His mother recently lost her job and this has truly devastated her as she was extremely close to Mike and they would talk almost every night. They had a very special relationship. My wife was super close to him and would go to metal concerts with him frequently and they both loved the band Electric 6 and went to their concerts every year in Tucson and Phoenix each time.
I am starting this page In the hopes of helping my mother and father Inc law who now will only be able to help each other every day. We will be there financially and physically as much as we can as well but thought all of the metal fans out there would appreciate one of their own who died way too young. He only wore black metal band t shirts every day and listened to metal every minute he could, not watching TV or playing video games. He would read as much as he could.
