The telecom industry is working with legislators throughout the nation to pre-empt city and county authority on the placement of cellular facilities. In California the Bill is SB 649 and despite that over 200 cities and 34 counties oppose it, it has passed the Senate and is flying through the Assembly and may be on the Governor's desk by Sept. 13.
This means YOU will not have a say as to what is put in the right of way in front of your homes and your children's schools. For the new 5G equipment "small" cells will be needed near homes (every 5-10) as the waves cannot penetrate walls and these "small" cells, the size of a refrigerator will do that work! BUT they are ugly, noisy, cause fires AND this is certainly not good for our health.
The firefighters in CA were given a special exemption because the legislators accept that the men and women who are the guardians of society need to perform at 100%. Yet if the legislators recognize this health risk is real then why isn't Sacramento protecting our homes and our schools?
My colleagues and I (CA Brain Tumor Assoc)are running radio ads throughout the state and have hired a social media strategist and expert lobbyist to help BUT WE NEED FUNDS FOR THIS. Please donate as much as possible to save the lives of our children and grandchildren. It doesn't get much worse than this. Thank you.
