Through our annual Culture Show, the Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) of UC Berkeley aims to examine and share Vietnamese culture by creating a unique performance space for members to learn about and educate others on Vietnamese history, community, and traditions. Culture Show fosters an environment of learning and creative expression for its participants who work collectively in order to produce this theatrical production that combines music, art, dance, drama, and prose.
This year's Culture Show highlights and explores the intersection of not only LGBTQ+ and Vietnamese American identities, but also those beyond, along with the family dynamics resulting from and contributing to the understandings of such identities. Our culture show hopes to demystify and normalize the complexities of these intersecting identities within the Vietnamese family.

As a student-run production, we rely heavily on our school grants and community sponsorships. However, with the hikes in our current venue price, our organization has to fundraise an extra $5,000 to help cover the cost increase and make the show happen this year.
