Save Charley's Dream!

On a weekend that was supposed to be set aside to remember America's fallen heroes, Memphis, Tennessee was hit by a large storm. Saturday, May 27, at 11pm, the main storm blew through town and additional storms came through overnight resulting in widespread damage to the Memphis Metropolitan area. Over 188,000 businesses and residences were without power at the worst point of the outages. Particularly hardest hit are midtown and downtown areas of Memphis. Charley's local restaurant, Beeker's Food Delivery, lost power for two days and all perishable food was lost. In addition, Charley's valuable employees have lost important wage and tip income that they rely on to feed their families. Many of his employees are also without power and have lost their food as well. 


Charley, a lifelong Memphian, has always dreamed of owning his own business and that dream came true when he opened Beeker's Food Delivery on December 18, 2013. He offers a chemistry inspired menu that features many homemade cooked-to-order dishes with flavor and quality. He serves the Midtown and Downtown area of Memphis, TN with delivery and pickup. Beeker's delivers to several hospitals in the Medical Center area, including hard working nurses and doctors, as well as families who have no place to order a hot meal late at night since Beeker's is one of the few late night delivery options in the area. Many Rhodes College students love to order from Beeker's as well! 

Charley is a CBHS alum and member of St. Louis Catholic Church. He currently employs 20 people who rely on their job at Beeker's to make ends meet. Charley and his employees have lost all power to their homes as well, and will have to replace all of the food at their homes, as well as clean up the storm damage. Many people in the area will not have power for a week or even longer. 

Please help Beeker's Food Delivery so they can reopen as soon as possible and get their employees back to work. Funds raised will be used to reopen the restaurant, replace spoiled food, and to provide pay to employees who have been without work so that they can provide for their families.
