Selamawit Alem

We are raising money for Selamawit Alem, who was tragically killed on October 19, 2015.  We are looking for help to pay for her funeral and related expenses.  We have been able to collect some funds from the community which will be shown within this campaign.  It is our hope to raise the funds by mid-November. 

Selam was a kind, beautiful soul and had a passion for music.  Selam lost her younger son ten years ago to a homicide at the age of 18.  She also suffered through two bouts of cancer and worked as a professional caregiver, looking after clients with disabilities in her home. 

Selam has no immediate family in Canada to take care of the final details related to her funeral, her sister's flight from East Africa, and the reconditioning of her home.
