 DICKINSON, ND
As many of you already know, Savanna was in a very serious motorcycle accident on 3/7/2016. She was airlifted to Bismarck where she remains in the ICU. As of now, I know Savanna has bad internal bleeding and according to her husband, Carlos her condition has stabilized but still  remains very critical.

Savanna is a wife and mother of two. She has a heart of gold and is the first person to help ANYONE! All donations will go to Savanna's medical bills and family at this difficult time. If you can't donate please just include Savanna and her family in your prayers.

Hey All!!!

I've been getting some inquiries about Savannah's health so I thought I would do a quick update.

As most of you already know, Savannah has made leaps and bounds of improvement over the past 5 months. At one point, after her accident, doctors gave Savannah only a 8% chance at coming out of her coma and even a less chance of making a full recovery.

BUT.... after months of intense therapy (3 to 4 hours per day), Savannah is in the direction of making a FULL RECOVERY! She is currently working her butt off in therapy and will hopefully be home for good in the next couple months.

Please continue to keep the Romero's in your thought and prayers. Savannah is truly an inspiration to us all and a perfect example that miracles DO happen.
<3 <3

With saying all of that:

With two medical life flights (from the scene of the accident to Bismarck- then to Bismarck to Denver) and 5 months at the hospital/therapy the Romero's medical bills are building fast!!! However, the community continues to help anyway possible and the Romero's are sooo thankful for all of you!

The Dickinson's SB Motorcycle club will be putting on a Pre-Sturgis Poker run this Saturday in benefit of Savannah Romero. Special thanks to the SBMC! Thanks for everything you do for this community!

THIS IS AMAZING NEWS!!!!!!!!

Update 4-26-2016 Day 51:
Savannah was transferred last Monday 4/18 to Craig Hospital, which is also located in Denver. She has had a very busy schedule, and these health professionals (A Team) are re-evaluating everything. The team has taken a fresh new look at compiling a plan for the extensive rehabilitation. The team at Craig Hospital is amazing and Savannah is already making big progress as you can see in the video below. Flowers are welcome here in her room at Craig hospital as well.
She is up and in a wheelchair and even kicking a soccer ball around in therapy. Right now we are working at gaining back strength she has lost from being immobile. She has several hours of therapy a day, including speech, physical and occupational therapies. She is able to talk much more and already back to joking around with everyone. Her trach was removed yesterday. One of the next goals are to get the G tube removed. The team has been starting to give her medications orally, and adjustment are being made to her diet.

Update 4-4-2016: Day 29
Savannah had a good day yesterday after the plateau we have been on. She was given a medication to help wake her up on Saturday and it kicked in yesterday afternoon. Savannah was up for about 4 hours which is the longest consecutive time period she has been awake to date. She is still unable to speak but has been mimicking and mouthing her responses to us. She was smiling and even blew a kiss to her cousin last night. She is able to make some hand gestures and is still able to hold that right eye open. She is getting about an hour or two of therapy daily depending on how quickly she fatigues. She is continually healing and resting but she has shown us she will fight and has done a great job so far.
We are planning a group prayer for this Wednesday April 6, 2016 at 1:00 pm. We are asking that everyone take a moment this Wednesday and pray with us for Savannah's continued healing and for the strength she needs to get through this. We ask that you pray for her Husband Carlos, Parent's and siblings, Jane, John, Ted, Johnna and her two Children so that they too have the strength to help Savannah through this healing.
The family is so thankful for the well wishes this far. We could not have done this without the support of our loved ones, family, friends, coworkers and the community. The support is appreciated more so than you all will ever know, thank you from the bottom of our hearts- It means the world to us!
