On Friday February 9th, 2018, Claire was diagnosed with cancer. . . . more specifically, Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase–Positive (ALK +), Systemic Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (ALCL). ALK+ ALCL is an aggressive lymphoma that typically effects children and young adults and is treated with chemotherapy.
On Friday February 23rd Claire began her first day of her first cycle of chemotherapy at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. Before the end of March, she is expected to begin her first day of her second cycle. C is for the 6 Cycles of Chemotherapy that Claire will endure in this first phase of her fight against cancer.
C is also for Courageous, Curious, Clever, Creative and Captivating - words that can only begin to describe Claire, a vivacious 6 year old who should be at home playing with her siblings or learning with her kindergarten class at Bishop's Peak Elementary School! Instead, with her incredible family by her side, Claire is in a fight for her life.
The road is long and the costs are high. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to Claire's amazing parents, Dan & Lindsey Noland, to help them in their support of Claire.
C is for Community. We are Claire's Community . . . we are the Noland Family's Community and their need is now. Together we can help them be brave, be strong, be courageous and win this fight for Claire!
