The early morning of March 23, 2016 the Castillo/Carrasco's, a long residing family of Hart, Texas was awakened to the terrible view of their home being caught in flames due to an electrical problem.

First responders were able to help the family get out of the burning home, before anyone could suffer from severe burns. They were rushed to the ER, but due to the amount of smoke they were surrounded by, one was left unresponsive and air lifted to UMC, in Lubbock. The other 3 relatives were also taken in to UMC to be evaluated and were admitted in. Elizabeth, the yougest of the family, 4 years of age was released that same day. As we await more news about the progression of Jorge (47) and Erika (20), the two who are in ICU and Eliseo (19) who is responsive we ask you to wrap this family in prayers for a full emotional and physical recovery!

Atop of having to face costly medical bills, this family has also lost all of their belongings and their home. This GoFundMe page, has been set up  for those who can help financially, send a donation of clothing, and to send this family many prayers! In advance we would like to, Thank You!

In addition to helping the Castillo/Carrasco's we would like to help spread awareness to everyone about how important it is to check your smoke detectors and check the batteries regularly! It could save your life!

For clothing donations/personal hygeine necessities, you can send them to:

It has been a week since the fire destroyed this family's home, and left them in delicate health. God has made himself present through out this past week for them in many aspects. The outpouring love and support they have received has been numerous and all very well appreciated.

At a week since the incident, Elizabeth has been very blessed with family and friends keeping her comforted and accompanied while her mother, father and grandpa have been hospitalized.

Eliseo (19) and Jorge (47) are slowly recovering and are still hospitalized at UMC, in Lubbock. Erika (20) is also at UMC in the BICU area, and continues to have help breathing from tubes. She is not alert, and there has been very minimal signs of responding from her till this day.

There will be a Benefit Dinner, Saturday April 9th at the "Carrasco Car Wash" on 510 Broadway Hart, Texas. It will begin at 11 AM - ? Each plate will be a $10 donation for the family.

A "LOVE FUND" has also been set up at Centennial Bank in Hart - in care of Rosalinda Carrasco.

All proceeds of this GoFundMe page are in the care of Claudia Castillo.

We cannot fully express the gratitude towards everyone that has helped and been praying for this family. We ask you to continue praying for them, as they will be facing a long rode of recovery and have been left without a home.

A heart felt Thank You, goes out to all of those who have reached out to this family in numerous ways! Baby Elizabeth is doing great, surrounded by relatives and lots of love while her mom and dad are recovering. Eliseo is awake, alert and able to communicate through writing. Jorge, her grandfather is awake, talking and now breathing on his own. As for Erika, we ask you to keep praying that she wakes up and gets on a road of healing. She is having a rough time, and seeing her hooked up to those machines is heartbreaking. There are no words to describe the magnitude of sadness this brings to all of their friends and families... But even through this difficult time God has made himself present in many ways, but mainly by knowing they are all alive and NOBODY suffered from any burns. That is why we please ask for your continued prayers... Psalm 30:2
