Emplyer died before he could pay us
My name is Misty and my family needs help desperately. My husband worked for a good friend for years. His friend had 4th stage cancer. Recently the friend got kicked out of his home and this all happened while he was in the hospital. So me and my husband worked over a 5 day period of moving alot if his possession onto storage and taking his cat to a good boarding / vet facility till he got out of the hospital. All of this is under our names. His sister came out once and took over his money and told us she'd pay us for our time. We just needed to let her know the hours. This was back on August 8, 2017. We let her know it was 67 hours between the both of us. Gave her our address and we still havent been paid. Our friend who we worked for has now passed away. And we still have yet to be paid. With other circumstances why we are not bringing in much other income, we are now about to start losing, things because of not receiving our pay. Our phone, our car insurance, and soon to follow will be our rent and electricity. All we want is our pay that we worked for. Nothing more. His sister is a very well off person in California. And still hasn't sent our pay. It's not like where asking for a ton of money and only asking what we worked for through our agreement with her brother who has passed. And on the 4th of September His cat will have been abandoned at the boarding place we took him because that hasn't been paid for either. His cat was his companion pet, not just a cat. It breaks my heart that he will be abandoned like trash. And of course his boarding is under our name so it will come back to us for the bill. It's very frustrating to have been friends with this man and to have to just sit back and watch as his sister does nothing on his behalf. And knowing what his wishes were, makes it worse. So we are asking for any kind of assistance at this point. And we are asking for prayers too. We are at a loss and grieving the loss of a good friend on top of it all.
