We are pleased to bring the renewed fundraising efforts of the BVM Foundation to your attention. The BVM Foundation is a 501c-3 public charity, since it's founding in 1995. The Foundation has raised several hundred thousand dollars in the late 1990's and through 2008.

The Board feels it is now the right time to rejuvenate our mission and fund-raising, which will provide the platform for larger-scale financing of the Foundation's school, charitable activities, and our outreach center, Kaitlin Farms. The concept of Kaitlin Farms, as described herein, was inspired by Kaitlin Breanne DiGiulio Palmer, who's passing at the age of three and a half years of age, prompted a transformation of our local community in Romeo, Michigan in 1993. Since Katie's journey to be with Our Lord, many have been inspired, and the BVM Foundation was "born".

The BVM Foundation is dedicated to the restoration of family life by fostering family values and a firm moral foundation through integrated educational, spiritual and social services that are provided to individuals and families in southeast Michigan from all backgrounds and religions. Since it's founding in 1995, one of the prime goals of the Foundation has been to build a private K-12 Catholic school-The Romeo Hills Academy in Southeast Michigan; and subsequently, an independent family center that will be located at another site. The Family Center will house several family oriented non-profits. One that provides support for families with terminally-ill children, and the other charity helps battered women and children restore their lives. A  Retreat Center is also anticipated to be developed, which will focus on physical, emotional and spiritual healing, as well as a shrine honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary, and a Conference Center. The Foundation believes the concept of combining education, family services and spiritual support into one "philosophy" will deliver a greater impact with superior results.  As a single impetus, there will be more benefit to all, than if these missions proceeded on separate courses.

The Blessed Virgin Mary Foundation continues to strive to be a catalyst for societal change through a collaboration of spiritual, educational and social intervention.  We believe if families have a strong moral foundation, they can survive difficult times and situations.  The Blessed Virgin Mary Foundation is joining the beginning of a movement that once again focuses on family, youth, community and God.

Non-profit organizations, who believe in the mission of Foundation, will share the same building, administrative staff, volunteers, office technology, maintenance services, fund development and promotional services and more.  In return, the organizations provide an array of services with considerable cost savings.  This allows them to expand services to meet the needs of individuals and families.  Donors’ dollars will work more efficiently and go farther.

We hope that the Foundation’s  will eventually become a model that can be implemented, improved, modified and replicated throughout the country.  Consequently, we will continue to focus on creating a model that can be easily duplicated.

Thank those of you who provided the earlier contributions, for your volunteer funding efforts in helping secure the critical donations and funding sources for the Foundation’s operations and capital requirements. To all of you that are just learning about the BVM Foundation, your continued efforts, will clearly be a “community service” to teh State of Michigan, as well as those that will benefit from outside of our region.
