On May 15th Aaron Salazar was attacked on the train on his way back to school at Portland State University. This kind soul who has never hurt anyone, and has only spread positivity and love was beaten and left by the railroad for dead. He was taken to the hospital and is currently fighting for his life with multiple injuries including a multiple brain injuries, a broken pelvis, and severe burns on his thighs. Our family has come from across the nation to support him and are currently in need of aid to pay for living costs and Aaron's medical costs. Although we appreciate prayers as well any donations would be greatly appreciated. This young man does not deserve the horrible things that happened to him, but he is fighting for his life and needs our help and positive vibes.

Hello Everyone.

I am posting this special update as it is almost three months since Aaron was found an an amazing development has happened...I am posting this update to confirm that Aaron has once again began to speak. I just spoke on him through Face time on his mom's phone, and he recognized me and said hello! We are very excited to share this with our Go Family. When asked about the train, he sadly cannot remember (which after speaking to the doctor said is normal due to a mix of both the injury, and his brain protecting him from the traumatic event, although with time, and therapy he might be able to remember things on his own.

I am sorry if this post isn't formatted as well as the usual updates but we wanted you all to hear this amazing news right away.

Thank you everyone for the support, as we now begin the second phase of Aaron's journey...Recovery.
We will continue to post updates!

Hello everyone,

It has been almost three months since Aaron was found.

I hope everyone has been well during our silence, we have some good news to share with everyone.

As always, lets start with Aaron's progress, Aaron has been doing much better, even though he has a long road ahead of him he has shown tremendous progress, for one he is no longer bed ridden, and is in a wheel chair. He also has been eating normal food, the other day he had Mac and Cheese (One of his favorites)!

Second, After a few weeks of negotiations with Aaron's insurance, and Craig hospital we are very happy to announce that he has been accepted, and Aaron is coming home to Colorado!

Lastly, We would like to take the time to thank everyone in the City of Reno/Truckee California area. Although this tragedy, shook our family to it's roots, your people's love, support, and solidarity has proven that love will always trump hate. The largest small city, also has the largest heart. Thank you everyone, we will make sure to keep in touch with the many new friends, and family we met here.

Although Aaron has a long road of therapy as he continues to heal, we pray you all will continue to follow our updates, and continue to spread the positive energy, and love as it is definitely working.

We love you all,

The Salazar Family

Hello,

It has been almost two months since Aaron was found,

I hope you all had a great holiday.

First and foremost, here are some updates on Aaron’s health, the other day his mother could take him outside in the garden for 10 minutes, and he successfully ate a chip of ice (chewed and swallowed!) and last I heard ate an ice pop by chewing, and then swallowing which is some much-needed good news. We are currently trying to get him moved over to Craig and are hoping he gets accepted once the costs, and everything Is settled in the end. Please pray for us that Aaron will continue to heal, and that he gets accepted into Craig hospital as we genuinely believe that surrounded by his many cousins, and family in Colorado he can heal and blossom much quicker, and the heavy load his mother, and immediate family could be easier with the support of his family.

We also want to give a special thank you to the Mama bears who sent us so many cards! We really appreciate the positivity, and love they have brought to us. Aaron's mother loves them especially reads them when she's in the room with Aaron.

We have also been working on a YouTube video, and other ways for you all to be able to interact with Aaron, although our updates have been slower, please understand we have not forgotten about the love, and support you all have for Aaron. To us you are all part of our family as well. Please join our Facebook group, where we are happy to talk to everyone much faster, and answer questions. I will link the page below.

Thank you guys so much for everything, and keep Aaron in your hearts.

Eternally Grateful as always,

The Salazar Family.
