Hello from I Can Fly International!
Several female circumcision ceremonies are scheduled each year to take place throughout Kenya. Hundreds of girls are lined up by age and height in the presence of family members, elders and onlookers. Each one will be forcibly cut with an old knife, razor blade, or sharp rock to undergo an out-dated cultural tradition the Kenyan Government out-lawed three years ago. Each year many girls run-a-way from their homes and villages as a way of escape from female genital mutilation and forced marriages. By the grace of GOD we've been able to offer such girls a place of refuge in the Butterfly House on our campus. Good news!
At the I Can Fly High School we help over 100 girls who are faced with diverse issues. Not only due we provide a safe place to live for Female Genital Mutilation suriviors but we take early marriage victims, orphans, child labor survivors and children affected by extreme poverty.

Today, the first Butterfly House is home to over 60 girls. All bunk beds and triple decker beds are full after our latest rescue of two 14 year old girls who were engaged to a man above 50 years old. We are
The Butterfly House helps girls not only live in a safe place but gives them free shelter while pursuing a quality secondary education at the I Can Fly School. Girls are able to recieve a free education and pursue their dreams which can help them overcome the challenges of life and build self-sustaining lives for themselves.
A new Butterfly House will allow us to rescue girls from several rural communites from around the East African Disaspora who often have no way out their challenging circumstances.
Your donations both small and large will help us continue this God-ordained movement of saving lives. 100% of each donation goes toward the education, housing and rescue costs of over 100 children.
