BURNED PUPPIES SUPPORT FUND

Dear Friends,

On March 7, 2017, nine, approximately 5 week old puppies and their mother were rescued by Jackson County Fire Department District 3 from a burning house in Central Point Oregon and taken to the Jackson County Animal Care and Control for temporary holding. While they received an intial exam and evaluation, the extent of their injuries became more apparent over the next several days. We soon found out some of the pups were severely dehydrated and had much more serious medical issues (burns) than were originally thought.  Due to the extent of these burns/injuries, and the care it will take to give them the best chance of survival, we are trying to raise money for their care. Funds will be utilized for all medical and adoption expenses and any supplies they may need during their recovery. To date, all nine puppies have been placed in 3 different foster homes and all range in the level of care needed.

Medical expenses will include:
-All wound cleaning and bandaging
-Prescription diets
-Pain medication
-Antibiotics
-Probiotics
-Topical burn cream
-Follow-up appointments
-Possible unforseen procedures they could experience      during growth
-Any other medical needs not mentioned above

Adoption expenses will include:
-Spay/Neuter
-Vaccines and preventive care
-Adoption Fees

If any funds remain after the puppies recover, the funds will go directly to the Jackson County Animal Care and Control to help additional animals in need.

Any contribution received, will help these beautiful, innocent, sweet, and wounded babies recover. Unfortunatly, on March 15, 2017, in the early morning hours, our beautiful baby Enya (in the pink dressing above), lost her battle and passed away, leaving her 8 siblings behind. We are committed in doing everything in our power to help the other 8 puppies not only survive, but thrive in their future life journeys.  We know the puppies are receiving the very best care available and the puppies and all involved in their care want to send a very special thank you to all who have or will contribute to their recovery.
