We at The Chinese Cultural Program at Columbia University are stunned and deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our Zhi Ban Instructor, Bruce Yang.
A humble, honest, sincere, and thoughtful instructor, Bruce taught Taekwondo and Mandarin in New Jersey and New York. Bruce passed away unexpectedly during his evening jog on a local track in his hometown this past Saturday, May 25th, 2019. He leaves behind his 6-month-old daughter, 3-year-old son, 11-year-old son, and his wife.
His wife Di takes care of their three little kids herself without other assistance. The family needs our help! Any amount that our community members and friends can provide is significant and meaningful.
