On Saturday, July 15, my beautiful, gentle, loving son was a passenger in a car crash,  which tragically killed his father, Robert Burns. Bruce  was badly injured and is still in Intensive Care on a breathing tube, recovering slowly. We have no idea how long it will be before he is moved out of ICU, or how long his hospital stay will be, but we remain hopeful for a full recovery. In the meantime, we need your help. I have come from Mexico to take care of Bruce, and together with his two brothers, Mylos and Guy, we are here watching over him, taking care of him, giving all our love and strength. As we will stay here until Bruce recovers, we need to live in a hotel next to the hospital, find a local car, take care of ourselves and each other. We will also have huge medical bills and other expenses, and have no idea how long or how much it will be. Any help you can provide will help all of us to help Bruce.

Good Morning Friends. It's been awhile since I've posted. I've been busy going to the Rehab hospital to visit Bruce. He's doing better everyday! He will be discharged Aug.28, which we are all looking forward to! After that outpatient rehab. Who knows how long this road will be, but I have faith he will be ok. Love to all!!!

Update! Bruce has been moved to the Gaylord Rehabilitation Hospital. It's a beautiful place in Wallingford. His arm is healing well and we are continuing to heal as a family. He began asking about his father so we told him about the accident. I'm sure there will be ups an downs, but we will take what life gives us. Thank you for your continued support. You are in out hearts!

Good Morning! Bruce's surgery on his arm went great! His arm hurts but that's to be expected. Let's hope the bones will heal. Because we had to wait to set it there is a chance it may not heal. His pneumonia prevented them from doing an earlier sugery. Cross you hearts and fingers!!! Hopefully we will be moving to a Rehab hospital. There are 3 in CT that specialize in Traumatic Brain Injury and we are hoping he will be able to go to one of those. Love and Light!!!

Good Morning! Bruce is out of the ICU and has all of his tubes out! He will have surgery on his arm this weekend. The hard part right now is, he has had a trauma to his head so most of the day is reassuring him that everything is okay. He remembers a lot about his life, but has a child like nature at the moment which can be difficult because it is challenging for him to understand what is happening to him. I just keep telling him I love him and hug him a lot. He has asked about his dad but we just change the subject and he seems to be satisfied with that for now. I can't even begin to express my gratitude and love for all the support for Bruce! He is such a beautiful person and I will forever be thankful for all your help.! We'll keep you posted! Love and Light!!!!
