This is about our Beautiful once vibrant and Artistic and intelligent daughter Brooke. My daughter IS Brooke Coleman, she just recently turned 14. She was riding her new bike she had just earned through her new babysitting job on Monday afternoon when She was Hit by a car head on! She was thrown over the hood and then smashed head first through the windshield... she then reverse rolled down the hood and was dragged 20 feet by the vehicle. Our only child Brooke is in critical condition in the ICU. She is NOT breathing on her own! She HAS Brain bleeds and Brain injuries. She has Not opened her eyes yet. Brooke also has countless broken bones all over her body. road rash, cuts, bruises, swelling, bleeding and hundreds of stitches in various places trying to hold our baby together. We pray for the best when she does wake up. But we know she will have a very long road in the months ahead while her brain and body fight to heal from so many breaks and wounds. She will have so much hard work to do. All of my affairs are on hold. We are living our worst nightmare. I have been by her side since this horror has started and it is my wish to stay with her and not be forced to leave while she is suffering so Brooke will not have to suffer alone. Any donation of any amount is so much appreciated. We thank you ahead of time for your kindness and contribution in helping Brooke get back up! Thank you for helping BRING BROOKE BACK! Our only child and is the love of our lives. Brooke is the very beat of our hearts. Thank you.

Brooke has just hit a year of healing! She just got home from a month in the hospital relearning how to get through daily routines on her own. She is also working on coping skills and self soothing.
It has been a long road and we are extremely grateful to be on it. Some days are long and very difficult but most are filled with celebration! We won’t really know Brooke’s full capabilities for another year. Meanwhile Brooke is very involved with Physical and Speech Therapies and we are way over insurance allotment...
We want to thank everyone again for all the help and guidance as you’ve stuck with us through this journey in BRINGING BROOKE BACk!

Wow! Brooke Turns 15 in 1 week! Our MORACLE CHILD!!! Brooke is coming along Slowly but Surely. She has been working so hard. There have been some big bumps in the road: some bad reactions to medications, and trips back to the ER and hospital stays... through it all Brooke is becoming more herself and we are so immensely grateful, every single day.
Brooke goes to school part time and participated in some social activities. She is attempting to adjust but has trouble do to short term memory loss and trouble with social judgement. It can be difficult. Brooke still goes to physical therapy and speech therapy weekly! If you would like to send Birthday mail or gifts please email dolldepartment@gmail.com. Thank you all for your love and support.

Brooke just got home from another hospital stay and is doing better! She had an awful reaction to Kepra which is an anti seizure medication she has been taking since the horrible accident. It’s 1 step forward 2 steps back. Brooke is unable to complete school work but she can walk around the high school and communicate freely!!! She makes jokes and is much more herself! She has had to be hospitalized several times since she first came home though. Her short term memory is heavily effected. Traumatic brain injury is an UGLY thing. Brooke needs so much therapy and so much after care with so many Doctors appointments that are not covered by insurance. Overall we are so lucky, grateful and blessed that Brooke is with us. She’s our one and only. We love her so very much! Thank you all for sticking with us. It’s a very tough road.
