Briana is full of energy and it's known for her abilities to help others. At school she has always been the to-go girl when other kids have problems. She has always been a loving, high spirited, caring, independent young girl.
On January 14, 2016, Briana was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). She has been fighting and underwent several intensive rounds of chemotherapy, which kept her in the hospital for 8 months. On July of 2016, Briana received a bone marrow transplant. She was declared on remission shortly after.
Unfortunately, Briana has relapsed. A few weeks ago, she developed two lumps on her head which were malignant tumors and had to get them removed. She also has another one on her eye that is too complicated to remove surgically, therefore; she started radiation therapy for it. Briana will also need more treatment in the months to come. She has shown all of us the strength that she has, and her positive attitude defines her. She is determined to beat this horrible cancer.
Anyone that has gone through this knows how hard this is and what a huge emotional and financial impact it takes on the family. For others we can only imagine it and pray for her and her loved ones. I am asking to find it in your hearts to donate to help Briana's family raise money to cover some expenses. Any little bit counts and I am sure together we can make an impact.
