Hey there!
For those of you who don't know me from my work at Off the Wall and other theatres, hi, my name is Patrick McCann. I'm an actor based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who after years of hard work, dedication, and love for theatre has just recieved an amazing oportunity.
I am one of only 12 actors in the world to be selected for the MA program at the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in England. This world-renowned institution, founded in 1946 by Sir Laurence Olivier, has produced such famous actors as Daniel Day-Lewis, Patrick Stewart, Jeremy Irons, Miranda Richardson, and Milwaukee's own Gene Wilder. I'm overwhelmed, humbled, and honored to be chosen out of the thousands that audtioned.
But there's a catch:
The School is unable to offer conventional financial aid to its international students. On top of that, U.S. federal loans and private student loans cannot be used for funding. In order to obtain the required Tier 4 Student Visa, I must have all funding (meaning full tuition and living fees) secured and in an account for 28 days before approval of the visa application. This leaves only until the end of July to raise A LOT of money!
Here's where YOU come in:
Although my family and I are exploring every possible resource, I am looking to raise $15,000 for living expense and various fees. This is a rare and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and it would mean everything to me if you helped make this dream come true. Any donation, large or small, would bring me closer to making this dream a reality. I would welcome the opportunity to meet or talk with you, and I would be pleased to provide references.
