Stolen Marsh Tacky Horses - FOUND!

Our two Marsh Tacky horses were stolen from Rembert, SC in Kershaw County on April 23, 2017. My bay mare, River, and my husband's dark bay gelding, Yago, are missing. The hot wire and lock on the back gate was cut and the horses were stolen during a severe rain storm. Marsh Tackies are an endangered breed. There are only 400 of the horses left and they are the State Heritage Horse of South Carolina. I am the secretary of the Carolina Marsh Tacky Association and I’ve dedicated my life to promoting and saving this rare breed from extinction. I cannot begin to write how much these horses mean to me. River and Yago are sweet, trusting, and personable horses. I pray that they are not hurt and are being cared for. They both have stars and River has a white left rear pastern and her mane falls to the left. Yago has some roaning on his flanks and he has a double mane. The day before they were stolen, River and Yago gave free pony rides to children at a local farm event.
