We just found out our new cabaret musical project ANGELMAKERS: Songs for Female Serial Killers was accepted into the Orchard Project Summer Residency in beautiful Saratoga Springs, New York! The only snag: we need to get our collaborator, the wonderful performer/ musician Milia Ayache, over from Beirut by JUNE 10 to start our residency.
Past participants of this amazing opportunity include artists Adam Rapp, Annie Baker, Dave Malloy, Lisa Peterson, and Taylor Mac; and companies such as The Civilians, Elevator Repair Service, Fiasco Theatre, Naked Angels, PigPen Theatre Co, The Rude Mechs, the TEAM, and Young Jean Lee’s Theatre Company, to name a few of our longtime heroes. We are so thrilled to have been chosen for this opportunity; now we need to make sure it can happen!
About the project: Real/Time Intervention's newest piece-in-development, ANGELMAKERS, (#everyonedeservesonesong) is a cabaret-style musical that explores the moments and motives of female serial killers throughout history. Serial, Making A Murderer, Dexter-- our culture is fascinated with true crime, but women aren't usually at the center of the story. ANGELMAKERS asks: how do these obsessions exist differently in women, and does our fascination with them change when it's a woman who's acting on them? And what social forces influence the making of “monsters”? The piece features songs by Molly Rice, direction by Rusty Thelin, and performance by Milia Ayache, a multi-lingual, multi-instrumental, multi-national performer.

EVERYONE WHO DONATES will be invited to the full production of Angelmakers in Pittsburgh PA, in October of this year. The work we do with Milia this summer will bring us to the musical's completion--and to our first solo full production!
A $20-34 DONATION will get you a free mp3 of one of the songs from Angelmakers.
A $35-49 DONATION will get you a free mp3 of one of the songs from the play, plus a personalized profile of one of the women featured in the cabaret, created by writer Molly Rice.
A $50-99 DONATION will get you a free ticket to opening night of the World Premiere of Angelmakers, in Pittsburgh in October 2017.
A $100-199 DONATION will get you all of the above!
