Bring Baby Mary Jane home.
In August 2017 Hayley flew from her home town of Mackay in Queensland to Melbourne to judge at the Australian Showjumping Championships.
During the event Hayley went into labour with baby MJ at just 25 weeks. A few days in hospital later at 25 weeks and 4 days baby MJ was born.
Mary Jane Somerset was born 8.44pm Monday 18th September at Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne.
Baby MJ had surgery and has been looked after in the special care nursery of the Royal Women's Hospital since then and has been getting stronger and stronger by the week.
Hayley has been staying in Melbourne spending her days in the hospital visiting MJ.
Myles, Hayley's husband and MJ's father has been travelling back and forward between Mackay and Melbourne trying to work and still visit both Hayley and MJ as often as possible
While Mary Jane can't travel to Mackay as the local hospital is not equipped to care for her, she is getting strong enough to be medically evacuated from Melbourne to a major hospital in Queensland (either Townsville or Toowoomba) allowing her to be closer to home and Hayley to have some more familar faces around and be closer to family.
The devestating part of this great news is that it will be very expensive to get a medical flight from Victoria back to Queensland and will be a bill that the family needs to pay.
Once they are back in Queensland the expenses will continue with accommodation and life away from home for quite some time yet.
We are asking for anyone who can, to give even just a few dollars. Every dollar adds up and with your help, love and assistance we can bring Baby MJ home to Queensland for the first time.
