Bring Aline's Family to Toronto

We are establishing this fund to assist the wife and mother of our Brazilian student Aline Gomes Franco to fly to Toronto. Late in the evening of Sunday, November 19th, Aline was running to catch a bus home when she tripped and hit her head. Aline was found unresponsive at the bus stop by a police officer, who called an ambulance. She was later found to have had a stroke as a result of the trauma.
Aline is currently in critical condition, and has been put in an induced coma to prevent further damage to her organs. She is being looked after in the Critical Care Unit of Sunnybrook hospital. Her mother lives in Brazil and cannot afford to pay the steep cost of a plane ride upfront. Aline's sister Helaine lives in the United States, and like her mum cannot afford to fly to Toronto. Aline lives alone in Canada and her family urgently needs to get to Toronto to speak with hospital staff and make critical decisions about her medical care.
We are appealing to the Brazilian community for donations to pay for Mom and Helaine's plane tickets. We also wish to provide them with some financing for accommodation and transportation (i.e. Metropasses) once they get to Toronto. If Aline's insurance company agrees to reimburse the flight costs for her family members, then the money will be put in a fund for Aline's recovery and her family's needs during the healing process.
Aline's friends are doing all they can to help, but as international students they are unable to raise the amount of money necessary. Aline is a wonderful, kind person and we want to make sure she is surrounded by her family during this heart wrenching time. Please give whatever amount you can, as every little bit helps.
