Bridgette's Hopeful Road to a Cure

Donation protected
In March of 2014 Bridgette at the age of 3.... in fact right after her third birthday  was diagnoised with Pre B Leukemia.  She had it only in her bone marrow and we were told he had favorable genetics.

After just over two years of chemo, procedures and fighting like the tough cookie she is... right before she was finished with treatment.  She relapsed in her spinal fluid.

She started a new protocol and began more chemo, procedures and continued to fight like the tough cookie she is.  Right before she began the less aggressive portion of treatment, Bridgette was suspected to have relapsed again in her spinal fluid. This is not a common occurance since her chemo has been injected into her spinal fluid during her treatments.  This re-relapse was confirmed January 30th 2017; just after her birthday again. Bridgette has been battling cancer for half her life.  We think that is long enough.

After consulting with some of the greatest minds in America and beyond regarding this relapse, it was suggested we try a trial that in years before was only offered to children as a last resort.  Car-t cell 19. Those parents who tried this treatment were pioneers of this treatment and because of them it is now becoming more mainstream for other children fighting.  Several of these children were CURED with this treatment... this is our hope. We know nothing is a 100%... we know we may need to still consider other treatments after.  Our hope is that Car-t will cure her.

Car-t 19 takes her own t cells and turns them into SUPER CANCER KILLING CELLS!  The best part is... they stay in her fighting off leukemia from coming back as long as the super cells are still in her. This is a huge improvement from radiation, agressive chemo and bone marrow transplant.  While this isn't an easy road... its a journey we know our tough cookie can endure... but we need help.

Because of the small amount of hospitals offering it... we must commute and be away from our family for a bit.  Communting to Los Angeles for appointments and ultimatley being in the hospital for up to a month or so.

We have worked and continue to work through her treatment.  We do not get financial assistance from state because of this.  But temporarily relocating to Los Angles will be a strain.

We can use your help and support to make this Journey a reality.  We have hope this may be her ultimate cure; so she can finally kick cancers butt!
