Brian Donovan's Legacy

In memory of our father, Brian Donovan , who in his 77 years helped and improved the lives of countless people — both as a journalist and through quiet acts of individual human kindness — we are raising money to establish a foundation to honor him in the most fitting way possible: by supporting investigative reporting in the public interest.
A special focus will be on the education and welfare of at-risk children.
We hope to raise an initial $10,000 to begin and launch the work of this foundation. Please consider donating here in lieu of more traditional expressions of condolences. We know Brian would prefer it.
Again and again in recent months, those who knew Brian have told us of his selflessness, compassion and humility. Growing up, we saw this firsthand. He taught us to live by the Golden Rule, regularly read to us about random acts of kindness, and challenged us frequently to perform our own anonymous acts of good will.
This legacy must live on.
Brian was and remains our hero. Please support this effort to establish a living memorial to him that will continue his life’s work.
