Brian Clarke Care Fund

This page has been set up to coincide with a special fundraising night for Brian Clarke on Saturday 1st July at 10pm in the Lough Allen Hotel, Drumshanbo.
Any of us lucky enough to know Brian know that he is an absolute Gentleman, a much loved Husband to Maura, Father to Shane, Annmarie and Conor, Brother and Friend.
He is known all over Ireland and indeed parts of the U.K. as extremely hard working, genuine, friendly and a man with great faith. Brian would always be willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbours and friends and in turn we his friends and neighbours have organised this fundraising night to support him and his family with his ongoing care.
On Saturday April 4th 2015 Brian’s life and that of his family changed when he fell at his home and sustained life threatening injuries. After weeks of treatment and mutiple sugeries in Beaumount Hospital Brian’s condition became stable. He was then transferred to Sligo General Hospital and later to Our Lady’s Community Hospital, Manorhamilton.
Brian suffered an extensive brain injury which means he is as yet unable to communicate or move independently. Brian is currently in the National Rehabilitation Centre in Dun Laoghaire. However, going forward Brian requires long term 24 hour care and will need a wheelchair accessible vehicle amongst many other medical aides all of which comes at great financial cost.
We, Brian’s Friends and Neighbours have organised this fundraiser to help raise money to assist with the cost of this essential specially adapted vehicle and to help with equipment and costs Brian and his family need to help with his care.
