Student seek funds for Abu Dhabi world competition

Valkyrie Racing is an F1 in Schools team based out of Brentwood High School in Brentwood, Pennsylvania. After placing in the top 3 teams at the national competition in Austin, Texas and walking away as the knockout race champions, the team is now moving on to the world competition in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Brentwood is a small school located in a suburb of Pittsburgh, as a result, the vast majority of their money is for participation in the F1 competition is raised through fundraisers and corporate sponsorships to afford the costs of travel, research and development, and to pay for marketing materials. We are seeking donations to help facilitate the team’s goal of competing on the world stage. 

F1 in Schools is the largest international STEM program, where over 1.3 million students participate annually from over 40 countries all over the world. The competition tests students’ abilities in all aspects of design and engineering. From the creation of digital and physical media, to advertising the team and building the brand, even the methodical design and testing of the car. All of this is handled by students, the work involved takes dedication and time, and fosters the next generation of leaders and engineers. 

Supporting Valkyrie Racing in their endeavor helps to ensure that these students get valuable experience before they enter the job market, and also helps to provide them with an unforgettable opportunity to travel across the world to compete with other students.

Every donation is appreciated, our $6,000 goal will help pay for plane tickets to get the team to get to Abu Dhabi so they can participate in this once in a lifetime experience.
