We're taking it outside! Some of my most treasured moments of chidhood were spent at summer camp. Tromping with friends through the woods in the fresh air and singing songs around a campfire. My fellow teachers and I want to share a piece of this experience with our 5th and 6th grade students at Brentano Elementary in Chicago, IL.
We are taking all 80 of our 5th and 6th grade students to a YMCA camp for an overnight adventure. During the day we will be completing team building activities and experiencing nature.
Going to camp will benefit our students in so many important ways. Many of our students rarely have the opportunity to leave the city limits. In addition to experiencing nature and the joy of being outside, students will grow together as a community by completing team building activities.
We are raising money to offset the tuition and travel expenses. This will ensure that all students can participate. Without your help, some students wll be unable to participate because they cannot afford the trip fees. With your donation, ALL of Brentano's 5th/6th graders can go to camp!
