Hello - I'm Christopher Clawson Rule - the Executive Director for Breaking Rules Publishing. We're a non-profit publishing house in Gulfport, FL. Currently, we have authors all over the world, and several of those here in the St. Petersburg area.
One of the programs that we're working on is to form a scholarship fund for young writers in the Tampa Bay, St Petersburg area. As you know, college tuitions continue to go up while middle and lower class families incomes continue to stay the same. It is our hope to help those young writers in our area with these rising costs.
Each scholarship awarded will go to help with tuition, supplies, workshops, and camps. We are hoping to raise $10,000 to offer scholarships to at least 10 lucky young writers.
We are currently working on local events to help raise these funds, hoping that others in the Tampa Bay/St Petersburg area will jump on board and want to donate to this program.
