HELP REBUILD THE MUSEU NACIONAL

Hola! My name is Karen Vidángos (@latinainmuseums) Like many of you have probably seen in the news the past few days, a devastating fire has torn through Brazil's National Museum  destroying almost 90% of its collection. This horrible tragedy has been felt deeply in the museum community as we mourn together the loss of thousands of years of human history. 

It is absolutely heartbreaking seeing the images of the fire engulfing the beautiful space where priceless artifacts were stored and cared for by the stewards of the Museu Nacional and it is with both anger and sadness that I created this GoFundMe to help in anyway I can to those who will seek to rebuild this great museum for the Latin American community. 

I've never started my own GoFundMe fundraiser but any amount helps. All funds will go to help rebuild this museum  as they need help to not only rebuild the actual structure but aid in rebuilding the collection.
